Super dense inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Flooding the olfactory senses are intense aromas of ripe blackcurrant and mulberry infused with black olives which are complimented by cedary tobacco notes and spicy bay leaf. Rich blackcurrant, ripe mulberry and black olive flavours are backed by sturdy yet nicely integrated tannins. Cedary tobacco elements, scorched earth and spicy bay leaf lend further interest on the back half. Finishes with a slightly grippy yet long, refined and generously fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
Hand-picked, open fermented, matured in French barriques (predominantly used, some new) for 18 months. A medium- to full-bodied exercise with cabernet, the tannins neatly controlled, but still able to proclaim its patrician upbringing, blackcurrant and bramble fruits to the fore. Drink by 2035.
