Matured in French oak hogsheads for a period of 18 months. Dense midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady ripe blackcurrant and dark plum aromas are intermeshed with vanillin cedar, earthy tobacco and spicy dried herb notes. Rich and opulently textured the palate is awash with generous blackcurrant and dark plum fruits which are married to vanillin cedar, tobacco and dried herb characters. Big and weighty it has polished tannins and a bold, lavish finish.
