A blend of 54% Tempranillo and 46% Malbec. Very deep black dark red colour with a bright dark purple hue. Nosing offers up freshly crushed dark cherry, red liquorice and blueberry scents which are followed by fresh herb, inky earth and spice notes. Youthful and fresh, the savoury mid weighted palate features vibrant dark cherry and blueberry fruits over a back drop of inky earth characters, infusions of fresh herbs and light notions of graphite. Crunchy like acidity with faintly chalky tannins and a red to blue fruited aftertaste complexed by elements of inky earth and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
54% Tempranillo, 46% Malbec. Swan Valley vines, over 35 years of age. The Swan Valley most often takes whatever is thrown at it, and says, “OK, that’s fine, I’ll still do something!”
So distinctive. So of a place. I’m thinking fresh blackberry, rain on a hot road, star anise, leather, pepper and rosemary. Black fruit, coffee, black olives, earthy and saline, boysenberry and tar, and yet spicy and vigorous, with a dirty come-hither chew and sooty tannin, and a long umami finish. Wonderful wine. Charismatic. Love this. Drink 2021-2030.
