2020 Clarence House Estate Block 1 Pinot Noir

From the Estate’s oldest block with 15% whole bunch inclusion and aged in a combination of new and old French oak puncheons. Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a bright red purple hue. The nose has a perfumed like quality to it with intense red to dark cherry, violet and strawberry scents sailing out of the glass followed by some anise, forest floor, fresh herb and spicy cedar notes. Light in body, delicious ripe cherry and strawberry fruits flow with abundance across the palate. Anise, forest floor, infusions of fresh herbs and spicy cedar then chime in on the back half. Silky feel with polished tannins, good freshness and a long expansive conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
