A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Totally opaque black dark red colour. Red to dark currant and mulberry aromas infused with fresh herbs drift from the glass followed by some pencilly cedar and black olive like notes. Medium bodied the palate is generously endowed with rich red to black currant and red liquorice fruits which overlay a mulberry, cedary tobacco, earth and spicy black olive back drop. Sturdy fine grained tannin structure finishing with ample length and refinement.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews....
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 Marjosse comes barreling out of the glass with rambunctious scents of cassis, crushed blackberries and black plum preserves, followed by hints of dark chocolate, anise and tar, plus a fragrant waft of lavender. The medium-bodied palate is soft, juicy and wonderfully refreshing, delivering wonderful poise and expression with a fun burst of pure black fruit on the finish. Delicious!

This shows notes of ripe berries, vanilla, licorice, crushed walnut and cocoa. Medium-bodied with ripe, supple tannins and a creamy texture. Fruit-forward and flavorful. Drink now, but better give a year or two.

A touch of reduction on the nose which clears as it relaxes in the glass. This is well put together, has definition and finesse, and is punching above its weight in the appellation. Ambitious, well managed tannins and juicy red fruits; 2% Malbec completes the plantings. I don't have the 2020 blend.

Jane Anson - Decanter

Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Marjosse Rouge needs a little coaxing to reveal notes of cast-iron pan, crushed rocks, and dusty soil over a core of red plums, blackberry preserves, and mulberries, plus a hint of bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is tightly knit with fine-grained tannins and bold freshness supporting the nuanced black and red fruits, finishing long and minerally.
