2020 Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey Blanc La Mission Premier Cru

Matured in 228 litre Burgundian barrels, 15% of which were new, for a period of 14 months. Bright pale straw to straw colour with a watery hue. Lifted peach, honeycomb and apricot scents are expelled from the glass followed by some crème brulee, bacon fat and butterscotch notes. Rich seductive ripe peach, apricot and honeycomb flavours show good textural volume in the mouth. Notions of crème brulee, roasted cashew and spice ensue. Finishes dry with good freshness lending a refined feel to the long cream tinged conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
