Matured in a combination of new (8%), second and third use French oak puncheons and hogsheads. Midnight black in colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Sailing out of the glass are expressive liquorice and blackberry scents which mix with vanillin cedar, hints of dark chocolate and spice. Medium to full bodied, plush blackberry and liquorice fruits drive the palate with notions of vanillin oak, light earth and spice ensuing. Velvety tannins with a rich and fleshy aftertaste.
