2020 Cantina Sava Poggio Pasano Negroamaro

Dense black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. An intense mix of black cherry, liquorice and morello cherry scents waft out of the glass followed by some toasty vanillin oak and spicy cinnamon notes. Full in body, the palate is swamped with rich, lusciously textured morello cherry, liquorice and black plum flavours which overlay a vanillin oak, scorched earth and spice back drop. Terrific fruit density and concentration. Ripe, slightly chewy tannins concluding long and opulent.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
