2020 Balgownie Estate Bendigo Chardonnay

Barrel fermented in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barriques and aged on lees for 11 months. Bright straw colour with a glimmer of green to the edges and a watery hue. Intense ripe peach, apricot and dried honey scents are intermeshed with crème brulee, nougat and hints of spicy bacon fat. Rich, creamy textured flavours of ripe peach, apricot, honeycomb and crème brulee adorn the full bodied palate with notions of roasted almonds, nougat and spice lingering underneath. Nicely balanced acidity finishing long and luscious. A rich full blown style of Chardonnay.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
