2020 Babo Nero d’Avola

Matured for 10 months in large format French oak. Deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Drifting out of the glass are fragrant aromas of morello and dried cherries, liquorice, Mediterranean herbs, earthy incense like notes and cinnamon spice. Juicy morello cherry and liquorice fruits carry medium body weight and ample flesh over a background of earthy incense, cinnamon and spice characteristics. Slightly chewy tannins with a lengthy finish that’s both ripe and spicy.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
