2020 Atze’s Corner Giant Durif

Trademark Durif colour – super saturated inky black right through to the hue. Wafting from the glass with plenty of potency are morello cherry, liquorice and black cherry scents which are complimented by vanillin oak, scorched earth and pepper. Rich, heavy and sternly built the palate is awash with decadent ripe morello cherry, liquorice and black cherry fruits. Ripe grippy tannins provide the wine with plenty of structure and give it a muscular feel. Vanillin cedar, earthy graphite and blackpepper characters lurk beneath. Concludes long, powerful and robust.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
