2019 Wirra Wirra Church Block Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot

A blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Shiraz and 12% Merlot matured in a combination of French and American oak for 18 months. Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red hue. A mixture of blackcurrant, liquorice and bay leaf scents show good elevation out of the glass with dusty vanillin cedar and tobacco notes ensuing. Medium bodied and polished in its feel, blackcurrant and mulberry fruits dominate over liquorice, cedary tobacco characters, earthy dried herbs and spice. Smooth fine grained tannin structure with a refined aftertaste showing a degree of elegance.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
