2019 Water Wheel Chardonnay

This Chardonnay was barrel fermented in French oak puncheons and demi-muid with extended lees contact and battonage to promote texture. Bright yellow straw colour with a pale straw hue. Ripe peach, honeycomb and bacon fat scents are interwoven with butterscotch and spice notes. Big, round and luscious in its mouthfeel, ripe peach, honeycomb and crème brulee flavours are layered across a back drop of bacon fat, subtle butterscotch and cinnamon spice. Creamy in texture with soft acidity and excellent concentration it finishes long, rich and fat.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
