2019 Turkey Flat Vineyards Shiraz - Last Stocks

Dense inky black in colour with a deep dark red hue. Pronounced spicy dark plum and liquorice aromas mix with some clove, vanillin cedar, smoked meat and peppered earth notes. Medium to full in body, generous red plum and red liquorice fruits are underpinned by a stern tannin structure which lends some firmness to the finish. Earthy graphite, spicy cedar, dried meats and pepper lie underneath. Grippy, tightly wound aftertaste.

This is delicious and harnesses a pure core of red deli meat on the middle palate. The 2019 Shiraz is fresh and grungy and textural; the tannins splay out through the finish and fill the mouth with a chewy, malleable sea of texture. Really smart. Drink 2022-2032.
