2019 Torre Blanca Brut Cava
Made from a blend of 35% Macabeo, 25% Xarel.lo and 40% Parellada grapes aged for 19 months on yeast lees. Pours with great exuberance, the mousse almost overflowing the sides of the glass. Pale straw coloured base with a very fine bead flowing through it with exceptional persistence. Aromas of pear and apple are married to bready yeast lees like notes with some citrus also evident. The nibble palate carries pear, apple and yeast lees flavours over some baked bread characters. Airy in its feel it finishes dry with a citrusy edge to the crisp acidity and a faintly creamed, mouth watering aftertaste.
