Fruit was sourced from McLaren Vale and Clare Valley to make this Grenache. Slightly cloudy bright red colour with a light red hue. Fragrant red raspberry, ripe strawberry and red plum scents mix with hints of red liquorice, scorched earth and peppered fresh herbs. Delicious ripe red raspberry and cherry fruits have a succulent feel with red liquorice, light earth, subtle infusions of fresh herbs and spicy pepper in the background. Bright fresh acidity gives the wine an energised feel. Very polished tannins and a long juicy red fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.4%

Other Reviews….
Not enough Grenache came off the Churinga (Watervale) and Humphries (Sevenhill), so we have an augmentation here via a 50 year old vineyard located in Blewitt Springs, of roughly 60%. It’s done it no harm. It’s maybe the best Tonic Grenache I’ve tasted.
Gee, this is very good. It’s pretty, quietly perfumed, bergamot, fresh mint, spice, and red fruits. Clean, clear, precise, with charming grip of what you might call ‘Nebbiolo tannin’, gentle authority, succulence and cool acidity, and the finish is very long, and pure, a little nibble of almond and spiced orange peel as it slides away. Beautifully made. Wonderful wine. Drink 2020-2030.
