2019 Tomfoolery Burla Negra Tempranillo

Matured in old French and American oak. Midnight black at its core with a deep dark red black hue. Aromas of liquorice and black cherries mix with hints of leather, dried herbs, scorched earth and spice. Rich black cherry, liquorice and dark plum fruits have a ripe chewy feel with vanillin oak, scorched earth and spicy leather lying underneath. Excellent intensity wrapped up in a robust tannin structure which firms up the finish. Superb power with a long black fruited aftertaste that has a muscular feel to it. One of the better Australian Tempranillo’s we’ve tasted in recent times.
