2019 Tokar Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

A delightful Yarra Valley Cabernet that displays both richness and finesse.

Sourced from vines approaching 25 years of age, this wine was matured in French oak barrels. Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. A fragrant bouquet of red to black currant and ripe mulberries infused with bay leaf blooms from the glass followed by some cedary tobacco and spicy black olive notes. Rich and expressive yet also refined, the palate is flooded with ripe red to blackcurrant and mulberry fruits which are complexed by cedary tobacco characters, subtle earth and bay leaf characters. Slightly dryish finish with fine grained tannins leading into a long amply fruited yet elegant aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
