Matured in 20% new French oak hogsheads for 24 months. Magnificent depth of colour featuring an inky black heart and very deep dark red black hue. Elevated ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas are followed by blackberry, vanillin oak, hints of black olive and blackpepper. Rich black cherry, blackberry and liquorice fruits saturate the palate underscored by spicy vanillin cedar, scorched earth and blackpepper. Opulent mouthfeel with ripe chewy tannins providing structure. Long substantial finish.
