Other Reviews....
Citrus, white flower and an array of white fleshed fruit aromas complement the fine and more detailed if less expansive middle weight flavors that are at once rich and impressively long on the slightly more structured finale. This is excellent and quite classy with the intrinsic refinement and finesse of a fine Combettes. Drink 2031+.

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet La Combette 1er Cru, which was still in barrel, has an impressive, detailed bouquet, the wood beautifully integrated and demonstrating impressive mineralité. The palate is very detailed from the beginning, the citrus fruit complemented by fleeting touches of apricot and mango, leading to a very poised and quite saline finish. Superb. Drink 2024 - 2040.

Picked very early as the leaves were starting to drop off. Currently this is still in barrel. Lemon and lime colour, less ripe after the episode of hydric stress, so less well balanced than the Chalumeaux. There is a little saline touch at the finish. This year I am more taken with Les Chalumeaux.
