2019 The Black Chook Shiraz

Midnight black core with a black dark red hue. Aromas of liquorice and blackberry meet up with vanillin cedar, scorched earth and blackpepper. Rich and plump, blackberry and liquorice fruits are to the fore, the palate then firming up a touch on the back half with vanillin cedar, earthy graphite and blackpepper characters moving in. Slightly inky, tight knit finish with sturdy tannins and a long juicy yet robust aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
