A blend of 60% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre sourced from Plan de Dieu and Visan with aging taking place in concrete vats. Dense midnight black core with a deep dark red purple hue. Intense black raspberry, liquorice and black cherry aromatics sail out of the glass pursued by scorched earth, herbs du Provence and peppered meat notes. Rich black cherry, black raspberry and liquorice fruits engulf the mouth backed by a ripe chewy tannin structure. Infusions of Provincial herbs, subtle scorched earth and blackpepper lie underneath. Excellent concentration and power with a long opulent yet meaty conclusion. Ranked No. 62 in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 wines for 2021 this is a great value.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 15%

Other Reviews….
Juniper, violet and pepper notes mingle out front before the core of kirsch and plum fruit arrives, turning this into a juicy ball of anise-tinged deliciousness, with an echo of garrigue through the finish. Drink now through 2025.
