2019 Spinifex Bete Noir Shiraz
Fruit was sourced from 70% Barossa Valley and 30% Eden Valley with 35% whole bunches included in the ferment. Maturation took place in French oak (25% new) for a period of 20 months. Midnight black heart with a deep dark purple black hue. Expressive dark plum, liquorice and ripe blueberry scents meld into clove, a subtle meatiness and peppered herb notes. Refined and fleshy with medium body weight the palate is decked out with rich dark plum, liquorice and blueberry fruits. Notions of fennel, vanillin cedar and pepper are spread across the back half. Beautifully meshed tannin structure with a long polished aftertaste.
