2019 Rouleur McLaren Vale Shiraz

Twenty percent whole bunch fermented with maturation taking place in French oak puncheons and hogsheads of which 10% were new. Dense inky black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Elevated dark plum, liquorice and blackberry scents escape from the glass mixing with spicy vanillin cedar, graphite and pepper along the way. Medium to full bodied, rich yet fresh blackberry, liquorice and blueberry fruits infused with blackpepper are layered across a back drop of spicy vanillin cedar and subtle notions of fennel. Muscular yet polished tannin structure with a refined medium to long aftertaste.
