Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark brick red hue. Aromas of spicy red currants, hints of rose petal and dried herbs have an earthy overlay with some tobacco notes also evident. Medium bodied and rustic in its feel the palate sports red currant, dried herb and earth flavours over spicy tobacco characters. Gritty tannins impart firmness which flows into a grippy, austere finish.
