Yabby Lake’s second label, Red Claw, regularly delivers great value across the range. The classic  2019 season resulting in an intensely flavoured Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir that’s both rich and expressive, making it a real standout at its price. Produced with the inclusion of 25% whole bunch fruit the wine was matured in French oak puncheons for 10 months.

Moreish Mornington Peninsula Pinot at a price that’s hard to beat.

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. The nose offers up perfumed aromatics of violets, ripe dark cherries, strawberries and plum with anise, light scorched earth and spicy cedar notes also evident. Rich, supplely textured and incredibly moreish, generous dark cherry, ripe strawberry and plum fruits flood the mouth, complexed by anise, forest floor, light dried herbs and a subtle shadowing of spicy cedar on the finish. Offers remarkable concentration and power for it's price with velvety tannins melding into a long highly delicious aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Other Reviews….
Hand picked and sorted, open-fermented with 25% whole bunches, matured in used French puncheons. Bright crimson-purple; the fragrant bouquet weaves a tapestry of red berry blossom with a darker note picked up on the complex palate and its long finish. Drink by 2029.
