2019 Pooley Cooinda Vale Pinot Noir

Last year, I fancied the Butcher’s more than Cooinda, and this year, it’s the other way around.

Dried rose and dried strawberry, dark raspberry, a dusting of spice and charcoal. It’s smooth and juicy, soft and fleshy tannin, ripe red fruit flavour, though a bit lacking precision and shape in the mouth, a lick of tannin on the finish, but slightly soapy and diffuse as it ends. Drink now - 2021+
