2019 Ponting Pioneer Chardonnay

A collaboration between winemaker Ben Riggs and cricketer Ricky Ponting. Brilliant very pale straw almost water like colour with a light tinge of green around the outskirts. Elevated white peach and nectarine fruits meld with light citrus, hints of biscuity oak and spicy melon. Medium weighted there’s a fresh feel to the fleshy white peach, melon and nectarine fruits which have some subtle flinty elements sitting underneath. Clean dry finish with refreshing acidity enlivening the medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
