2019 Penley Estate Tolmer Cabernet Sauvignon

Inky black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Aromatically the nose offers up intense blackcurrant scents which meld into cedary tobacco notes, black olive, light scorched earth and bay leaf. Rich blackcurrant and mulberry fruits run across the mid weighted palate that delivers a classic Coonawarra flavour profile for a miserly sum. Cigar box characters, earth and spicy black olives fall into place on the back half. Excellent depth with a fine grained tannin structure providing support to the rich fruit profile. Concludes with a long blackcurrant and mint laced aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
