The second label of Palliser Estate, Pencarrow has been a perennial customer favourite over the years for good reason. It’s rich fruit and plump texture drawing high praise at a price that’s hard to beat. The majority of the fruit for this wine was sourced from Palliser Estate’s East Base and Clouston vineyards with 5% whole clusters included in the ferment. Maturation took place in French oak of which 25% was new for 10 months.

Rich, juicy and supple this is one of the best Pencarrow Pinot’s in a long time.

Dark red in colour with black tinged edges and a bright red hue. Nosing offers up a fragrant aromatic profile of violets, dark cherries, anise and ripe strawberries with some spicy oak and dried herbs notes also evident. Wonderfully supple in their feel and possessing plenty of richness are delicious juicy dark cherry and ripe strawberry fruits which overlay a back drop of anise, toasty cedar and spicy dried herb elements. Delivers excellent intensity and power for its price, silky tannins leading into a long moreish aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
