2019 Pedestal Pinot Gris

Fermented in French oak barrels and matured for 6 months. Bright pale straw colour with a greenish tinge skirting the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of pear and green apple have a subtle flinty overlay with some citrusy mineral notes also evident. Quite fresh and lively for the style, green pear, grapefruit and apple flavours have a flinty back drop. Finishes dry with crisp acidity and a vibrant, elegant aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

The aromas point to a frisky drink, the palate is textural with some creaminess. Lemon balm, pears and lots of spice. Delicious now. Drink by 2023.
