2019 Patrick Javillier Meursault Les Clousots
Here too the wood influence is discreet and easily allows the ripe and airy aromas of apple, pear, olive oil and citrus elements to shine. There is excellent punch and an almost pungent minerality on the youthfully austere and firm finish that exhibits lovely balance. This is a bigger but not finer wine than the Tillets and is also lovely. Drink 2027+.
Allen Meadows - Burghound
Paler colour, mixed white fruit on the nose, actually quite discreet. More interest and complexity on the palate, ripe apple notes, some pear too, a little softer at the finish than Tillets. Plenty going on.
