A blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Petit Verdot matured in French oak, 60% new, for a period of 18 months. Midnight black in colour with a dark red hue. Unfurling from the glass are intense red to black currant and mulberry scents infused with bay leaf. Ensuing are vanillin cedar, tobacco and spice notes. Mid weighted, the palate is a perfect marriage of richness and refinement. Spicy ripe red and black currant fruits meld into mulberry, dusty cedar, tobacco and bay leaf characters. Nicely integrated fine grained tannins provide a sturdy framework. Concludes long and generous yet elegant.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

Other Reviews….
88/12% cabernet/petit verdot; 28 days on skins, matured for 18 months in French oak (60% new). This is quite a potent amount of petit verdot – as little as 1-2% can be perceived in the glass. Here, it transforms the aromas into a decidedly blue space – blueberries, potpourri, lavendar, and mulberries. In the mouth, the wine is velvety, cushioned and plush ... it's just wonderful. It is big and concentrated, but there's a cooling, graphite quality to the tannins that elevate it right out of the park – you've got to wait for this to emerge through the finish. Make sure you do. Awesome. Drink by 2037.
