Dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Rising through the olfactory senses are aromas of black cherries and liquorice which are followed by some scorched earth, dried herbs and hints of spicy leather. Rich black cherry and liquorice fruits carry good weight and volume across the palate with vanillin cedar, earth and spicy dried herb characters lying underneath. Ripe, faintly chewy tannins with a generously fruited mid length finish.
