2019 Pacha Mama Pinot Gris
Fruit was sourced from a selection of vineyard sites located in the King and Alpine Valleys where the cool nights allow the fruit to reach optimum ripeness whilst retaining an elegant balance between flavour, alcohol and acidity. Eighty percent of the wine was fermented and matured in old French oak barriques for a period of 3 months, with lees stirring taking place to provide additional texture.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with a watery hue. Aromas of fresh pear and red apple mix with hints of musk, light honeysuckle and spice. Delicious ripe pear and apple flavours have an attractive silkiness to their feel with musk and subtle spice the back drop. Finishes dry with brisk fresh acidity and a lengthy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
