$359.88 Dozen
Cellar: 8 - 10 Years (2028-2030)
ABV: 14%

A blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 12% Malbec matured in French oak (25% new) for a period of 14 months. Impenetrable midnight black core with a bright dark red hue. Pronounced red to blackcurrant and mulberry scents sail out of the glass with cedary tobacco characters, black olive, light dusty earth and bay leaf notes adding interest. Medium bodied with a structured sense of elegance to the mouthfeel, rich red to blackcurrant and mulberry fruits are backed by dusty cedar, spicy tobacco and notions of bay leaf. There’s plenty of freshness to the finish and the tightly wound yet well integrated tannins provide a great framework. Concludes long and refined.
Cellar 8-10 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 12% Malbec from a long cool vintage. And in today’s edition of ‘Synaesthete’s Corner’ the music for this wine is ‘Cool Blue Lady’, by The Selecter.
Cassis and blueberry, baking spices, bay leaf and dark mint chocolate, old cupboards dusted with star anise, someone runs past with Dencorub on their buttocks, leaving just a whiff as they go. Medium-bodied, distinctly cool and ‘mineral’ feel to it, but warmed by spice and blue fruits, raspberry coulis, tannin has an emery board feel, lively, bright and long to close. All the spice, precision and charm of a cool vintage, and a lovely thing it is. Drinks beautifully. Drink 2020-2028.
