2019 Mr Riggs Outpost Coonawarra Cabernet

Matured in a combination of 95% French oak (30% of which was new) and 5% American oak. Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep black dark red hue. Ripe red to dark currant aromas mingle with mulberry and hints of rhubarb. Fresh tobacco, dried herb and spicy cedar notes are also evident. The rich medium to full bodied palate is loaded with a mixture of dark currant, mulberry, rhubarb and tobacco leaf flavours which overlay a back drop of spicy cedar and bay leaf. Firmly structured with fresh acidity and slightly chalky tannins. Bright, medium length finish.
