Tense and focused with bracing acidity and excellent drive.

Brilliant pale straw colour with flashes of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of lemon, toast and bees wax drift through the nostrils with hints of lime and green apple also evident. On the palate lime and green apple fruits are underscored by bracing acidity with subtle notions of lemon butter, toast and bees wax extending across the back half. Tense and focused it shows excellent drive right through to the long, fresh finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 11%

Other Reviews….
An iconic wine sourced from the Lovedale vineyard, planted in '46 by Maurice O'Shea. As a '19 cellar release, this wine is just beginning to reveal the greatness that lies ahead. Scented and alluring like an exquisite perfume, it offers notes of zest, lemon thyme and cultured butter. The palate seamlessly combines power and suppleness, enhanced by age, with charred citrus notes and satisfying mid-palate generosity. Although beautiful now, the defined vein of limey acidity reminds the drinker that it's only partway through its journey. Drink by 2039.
