2019 Mitolo Jester Grenache
Semi translucent red to dark red colour with a light crimson red hue. Spicy raspberry and red liquorice aromas intermingle with subtle earthy graphite like notes and pepper. Juicy red raspberry, cherry and liquorice fruits flood the mouth with some earth and pepper characters lying underneath. Fresh finish with polished tannins and a long spicy red fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
A light bright ruby. Pure Vale grenache aromas of kirsch, pomegranate and sassafras. Medium feel, with a pinosity that is increasingly typical of the better examples of the region. Impressive cranberry acidity, thirst-slaking tannins and a saline expanse that caresses the gums as much as it corrals the teeming fruit flavours. An impressive wine for the money. Drink by 2024.
