Matured in mainly French oak (10% new) for 18 months. Dense inky black heart with a very deep black dark red hue. Intense black cherry, liquorice and ripe blackberry scents waft through the olfactory senses followed by dusty vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper notes. Rich black cherry, liquorice and dark plum fruits flood the mouth with a luscious feel. Spicy vanillin cedar, earthy fennel and light pepper characters also chime in. Bright acidity combines with a ripe yet sturdy tannin structure. Concludes plump yet vibrant.
