Matured for 18 months in a combination of old and new French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas mix with vanillin cedar, subtle earth and mint notes. Bold, juicy blackcurrant fruits dominate the full bodied palate with some ripe mulberry, vanillin cedar, light tobacco and spice characters lying underneath. Medium grained tannins firm up the finish a touch which is decked out with lush blackcurrant fruit, spicy tobacco and vanillin cedar characters.
