2019 Mac Forbes Hugh

A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and 15% Petit Verdot matured in old oak for 15 months. Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Delightful red currant and red to dark cherry aromas infused with dried herbs mix with black olive, light cedary tobacco notes and a faint whiff of spicy capsicum. Very elegant and fine, the light to mid weight palate features savoury red currant and dried herb flavours over a light dusty cedar, tobacco leaf and spicy capsicum back drop. Fresh acidity provides an energetic edge and fine grained tannins, structure. Good  length with a refined herbaceous tinged finish.
Cellar 6-8 years.
