2019 Luke Lambert Crudo Rose
This seductive beauty from Luke Lambert was made from a blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Nebbiolo. The fruit was picked early and whole bunched pressed with the juice sent to tank for wild ferment and wild malo before storage in a 4000 litre French oak foudre.
Intensely flavoured, supple and utterly delicious.
Semi translucent salmon pink colour. Very fragrant the nose offers up scents of cherry and strawberry which intermingle with peach, subtle musk and spice notes. Delicious, fresh and supple in its feel the palate is decorated with fruity peach, strawberry, blood orange and light musk flavours with a dash of spice on the lively finish. Good depth concluding long and moreish.

Other Reviews….
Calm, fluid, gentle cool acidity, fine chalky texture, red fruits and blood orange, slight earthiness, perhaps a few fennel fronds and flowers. Red cherry and almond creaminess pops through on a very long finish. It’s as ever, a beautiful wine of harmony and supreme drinking pleasure. Touch and go for 95 points. Regardless, I’ll be buying some. Drink 2019-2024.
