Here the expressive nose is compositionally similar to the old vines cuvée but with more evident spice elements. The impressively concentrated and almost opulently rich big-bodied flavors are muscular and powerful, all wrapped in a mouth coating and incredibly long finish. This is a knockout though note well that if you wish to drink it at its peak, plenty of patience will be necessary. Drink from 2034+.

The 2019 Moulin-à-Vent Les Rouchaux wafts from the glass with notes of dark berry fruit, sweet spices, peonies and raw cocoa, delicately patinated by its élevage in used wood. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, with fine concentration, powdery tannins and a spicy finish, it's seamless and complete. Drink 2021 - 2035.

The 2019 Moulin-à-Vent Les Rouchaux has an expressive bouquet of well-defined brambly red fruit. The palate is quite spicy on the entry, maybe more Côte d’Or in personality than Beaujolais, but culminates in a lovely hoisin-tinged finish. Fine. Drink 2022-2030.
