2019 Long Gully Estate Single Vineyard Shiraz
Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced liquorice and black cherry aromas meld into scorched earth, dried herb and peppered meat notes. Rich and fleshy the savoury mid weighted palate is generously endowed with ripe black cherry and liquorice fruit. Notions of vanillin cedar, scorched earth and pepper lie underneath. Beautifully integrated velvet smooth tannins with a long polished finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14%
Other Reviews….
A vibrant purple/black hue immediately entices, as do the savoury aromas. Dark plums are all spiced up with licorice and the palate has some energy. It's a neatly contained wine, with raw silk tannins providing some grip to the finish. The acidity is bright and this feels good. Drink by 2028.
