Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Delightful red to black currant and mulberry aromas infused with cigar box flood the nostrils followed by some black olive, earth and spice notes. The elegant Bordeaux like palate features delicious mid weighted red currant and mulberry fruits over cedary tobacco, dried herb, dusty earth, subtle black olive and spice nuances. Seamlessly integrated fine grained tannins with a long refined and highly savoury conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews….
Often my favorite wine of the quiver here. A mid-weighted, beautifully scented, highly attractive ‘luncheon claret’ sort of expression. Effortless in the way it sits pretty in the mouth, stroking the cheeks with chords of black currant, mint, green bean and bouquet garni. A skein of pliant tannins and dutiful freshness direct, while pulling length in poised synchronicity. A real joy to drink now, or hold for a decade.

The 2019 Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is herbal, savory and spicy on the nose, with notes of dried petals and bay leaves, orange peel, licorice bullets and garden mint. In the mouth, the wine is elegant, supple and very pretty. It helps to understand the unexpected nose, once the wine is in the mouth—it makes sense, somehow. This has lovely balance. 13% alcohol, Stelvin closure.
Drink 2023-2038.
