Matured in French and American oak for 20 months. Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Elevated cassis, liquorice and choc mint scents rise out of the glass followed by some cedary tobacco and spice notes. Rich blackcurrant flavours flood the mouth underpinned by cedary tobacco characters, dried herbs and bay leaf. A firm tannin structure imparts some grip onto the ripe, lengthy finish.
