2019 John Gehrig Wines Snart’s Block Shiraz

Dense pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense black plum and liquorice aromas sail through the nostrils followed by some ripe black cherry, vanillin oak, scorched earth and pepper. Thick, rich and decadent the hefty palate is drenched in lavish black cherry, liquorice and black plum fruit which is backed by a firm yet integrated tannin structure. Smoky vanillin oak, earth and pepper characters linger through the finish which shows traces of heat. Very powerful and deep it concludes long and chewy yet opulent.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
