Dense inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Wafting from the glass are ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas which have a toasty vanillin cedar overlay. Some earth and spicy black olive notes are also evident. Rich opulent blackcurrant and liquorice fruits are swamped by prominent toasty oak with some dried herb, earth and vanillin spice elements lying underneath. Ripe, slightly chewy tannins with a toasty oak laden finish.
