Bottle
$215.88 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 4 Years (2020-2024)
ABV: 12.5%
Closure: Stelvin

This great value Yarra Valley Chardonnay is wild fermented in 100% French oak and matured for 10 months with occasional lees stirring to enhance complexity and mouthfeel.
Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Lifted aromas of ripe nectarine, peach and dried honey are trailed by light citrusy nougat notes and hints of gun flint. Nicely rounded in the mouth, the palate is fuller than expected with ripe peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours overlaying subtle notions of crème brulee, biscuity nougat characters and spice. Finishes with good freshness and a long, lightly creamed aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 12.5%

Other Reviews….
Hand picked, whole-bunch pressed, wild-yeast fermented in French barriques, partial mlf for 8 months. There's a tangy, lively edge to the white stone-fruit flavour and citrus-tinged acidity. A remarkably good chardonnay at any price, let alone this. While it's ready now, it will age with grace. Drink by 2030.
